Glendale Glitters - 2022
The excitement of Glendale Glitters includes the Murphy Park lights and displays, performances in the amphitheater, the Hometown Christmas Parade, Movies by Moonlight, and additional events held by the downtown merchants.
In addition to Glendale Glitters, we have a variety of fun offerings downtown year-round including a full concert series called LiVE! @ Murphy Park.
FREE Parking all season long is available at the City Hall Parking Garage and the Bank of America Parking Garage

Glendale Glitters will begin in Historic Downtown Glendale this holiday season with a spectacular light display that will be illuminated each evening from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Glendale Glitters is a display of lights around Murphy Park in downtown Glendale! This year’s celebration includes the annual Hometown Christmas Parade, various performances at the Murphy Park Amphitheatre, our Movies by Moonlight series and LIBCON West at the Velma Teague Library.
For the first time in the event’s history, Glendale will offer a pair of ‘Light the World’ Giving Machines in Murphy Park. You will have the opportunity to provide a special Christmas for some families that may not otherwise have anything under their tree. This innovative and fun international initiative uses vending machines to provide people an opportunity to donate to carefully selected local and global charities.
The machines will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily beginning November 22 through January 7.
Each Friday and Saturday in December, local acts will take to the stage for free holiday performances. Murphy Park will come to life with The Sacred G’s. This eclectic group of professional dancers are illuminated in LED lights from head to toe, as they dance to seasonal music on Fridays December 2, 9 and 16.
