Matters Of Impact

Angel’s on Earth

With all the hurt in the world these days, I want to share something a little different.

As I strive to always express a positive message in what I write.

I’ve found the positive message can be more impactful when the subject appears to be a dubious choice.

Can there be a less likely topic to find positivity, than when focus is on loss of loved ones.

However, when you think about it, is there no other time where positivity is needed more?

Positivity is meant to build us up, however, we should never forget how far life can break us down.

Angels on earth was written for a friend of mine, who is better described as a brother to me.

Life’s wrecking ball came through, leaving only devastation.

The same devastation that is recognizable from any distance, where loved ones are lost.

With empathetic care, in response when devastation arises. Positivity can be gifted, for those life's that have been tested.

Angels On Earth

  Dear friend,

I have sat here for hours trying to find the right words to say.

With a heavy heart, I know there is nothing that can be said to make that pain go away.

The truth is, the only one who knows what that pain feels like, is you.

So,  I will just write down things that I do, that will hopefully help you get through.

When my grandmother passed, a common phrase I heard was “Only time can mend a broken heart”.

I can agree, time might just be enough to heal a crack in a broken heart. However, time doesn’t appear to be useful, if a heart shatters and falls apart.

A heart needs love to exist, and if love is taken away instantly,  nothing else matters.

That kind of hurt cuts so deep, you’ll even shed tears from memories of laughter.

I feel your wife is to you, as my grandmother is to me.

“One of a kind, rare to meet, and truly unique. In  comparison, everyone else stacks up less.”

What are the odds to even meet such an angel on earth? One in a million? Whatever the odds may be, there’s no doubt, we are blessed!

I actually never had the pleasure of meeting your wife. Although, that might not be entirely true.

I have a feeling, that the big heart and kindness I see in you, is actually her shining through.

This is what truly helped me get through, knowing my grandmother is very much alive in me, just as your wife is in you!

My grandmother’s voice exists in every kind word I’ve ever written down.

And let me tell you, to hear her voice read aloud, is the most beautiful sound!

Take care and remember, you were blessed my friend.

Hopefully I’ll get the pleasure of hearing your wife’s voice, when I see you again.
