SUMMER AQUATICS SCHEDULE


The current lifeguard shortage has been well publicized not only locally but nationally for pools and aquatic centers.  The City of Glendale continues to experience these same challenges. As a result of these continued challenges, we will be opening the Rose Lane and Foothill Aquatics centers one at a time during alternate months as shown below: 



Rose Lane Aquatics Operating Schedule

June 7 – July 2

Tuesday – Saturday 

Youth Swim Lessons schedule – Tuesday – Friday between 10:20 am – 12:10 pm

(Registration for session 1 begins May 31 for Glendale residents and June 2 for non-residents)

Open Swim Schedule – Tuesday – Saturday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm



Foothills Aquatics Center Operating Schedule

July 5 – July 30

Tuesday – Saturday

Youth Swim Lessons schedule – Tuesday – Friday between 10:20 am – 12:10 pm

(Registration for session 1 begins June 28 for Glendale residents and June 30 for non-residents

Open Swim Schedule – Tuesday – Saturday 1:00 pm -5:00 pm


This schedule will allow us to meet all Maricopa County requirements and provide a safe, high-quality programming experience for patrons at both Glendale aquatic facilities this summer. 


As a reminder, the Glendale community also has two city-operated splash pads to enjoy this summer. The seasonal operating dates/hours for the two splash pads are as follows: 



Heroes Park Splash Pad & O’Neil Park Splash Pad
May 28th – August 7th - Open Daily 11am – 7pm
August 13 – September 5 (Labor Day) - Open Saturdays and Sundays 11am – 6pm



Foothills Aquatics Center

This year-round facility includes: lap swimming, water aerobics, private swim teams, and Red Cross lifeguard as well as instructor certification programs.


Summer activities include seasonal youth group swim lessons, public recreation swimming, full facility private pool rentals, and Pool Patio Party rentals.


Foothills amenities include 2 giant slides, a kiddie slide, a zero depth entry leisure pool with spray features, water playground, a lazy river, diving well with 2 diving boards and 6 lap lanes, and a snack bar.


Foothills has full locker rooms with day use lockers, so please bring your own lock or you may purchase one at the Foothills Service Desk.


Rose Lane Pool

Rose Lane Aquatics

This seasonal facility is only open to the public during the summer. Activities include full facility aquatic rentals, seasonal group swim lessons, and summer public recreation swimming.


Rose Lane includes a large, zero depth entry leisure pool with spray features, a splash pad, a giant slide, a kiddie slide, and a big pool with a diving well and a diving board. Rose Lane has outdoor day use lockers. Please bring your own lock or you may purchase one at the Rose Lane Cashier's Office. This facility is only staffed when the pools are open for aquatic programming.

Rio Vista Community Park- free admission 
The Rio Vista splash pad is open seasonally from April 15 through October 15. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Pioneer Community Park- free admission
The Pioneer Park splash pad is open seasonally from April 15 through October 15. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
